Zoeva Café palette
When I first saw this palette, I knew I had to have it! I love green eye shadow especially for spring and summer. With this palette including three greens, I was definitely intrigued. The other thing that interested me was the cherry pinks. I love the urban decay naked cherry palette, but as I already own the naked heat, I couldn’t justify buying another palette that was so similar (student life). For me, this was the perfect compromise.
Anyway, that’s enough of my justification, onto the palette!

Review
Zoeva describes the palette as being inspired by a coffee shop aesthetic. The collection of dark espresso brows, coffee cherry greens and light Chai nude all contribute to the cosy cafe atmosphere.
Ingredients:
The eyeshadows contain Vitamin E; an antioxidant which is essential for healthy skin maintenance in addition to being an antioxidant, just to name a few of its many properties. The palette is also free from nasty, harmful chemicals like parabens, mineral oil and phthalates. It is worth mentioning that whilst Zoeva does not test on animal’s. unfortunately, their eyeshadow is not vegan, yet they do sell a range of vegan (synthetic) make up brushes.

My verdict:
Zoeva is known for being good value for money, and this pallet is no exception. These eyeshadows are so easy to work with! They are strongly pigmented meaning a little goes a long way. Application can be wet or dry, so a variety of looks and finishes can be achieved. They are so easy to blend which means that little time and effort is required to create your desired look. This makes it a perfect choice for beginners. Due to how nicely the eyeshadow blends, and the price, I always recommend it to people who are starting to experiment with makeup.
The palette is a great travel option too. Both dark and lighter colours allow you can create day and night time looks. The pop of green is great if you are feeling a little bit more adventurous, but the pinks, purples and brows work well if you are wanting a more subtle look. This also makes it ideal for beginners too as the shadows are wearable with the option for experimenting.
One thing I have noticed across all Zoeva eyeshadow palettes is the fall out. There is a lot. Whenever I work with Zoeva eyeshadows I find that I have a fair but to clean up around my eyes. I personally prefer to apply my foundation first and then eyeshadow as this helps to achieve a more natural finish. However, I do the reverse when working with this palette.
This eyeshadows durability throughout a full day (I’m talking nine to five) isn’t the best. But having said that, for a couple of sweaty hours on a night out (I’m gross I know), it does the job. I just make sure I use a good setting spray and I’m good to go!
Summary
I love this palette! At the end of the day, you get what you pay for. Fall out is a low price to pay for the quality and variety of colours. The cardboard packaging doesn’t bother me as I find the sleeve does it job in protecting the actual palette, and it’s a bonus that it’s better for the environment. I never travel without a handheld mirror, so a lack of one doesn’t bother me either. I personally prefer to pay less and not receive a makeup brush in the palette as I never seem to like or use them. This is probably my favourite palettes out of all the Zoeva products I have tried (yet). So yes, I would definitely repurchase and recommend!
Thank you for hanging in there and listening to my waffle, I hope this helps! If there is anything I have missed and would like to ask please get in touch and I will do my best to help.
Lots of love,
G xoxo
